Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Clipr AI application and website operated by Clipr AI ("we", "us", "our"). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account Registration

To use Clipr AI, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Clipr AI only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the service to process content you do not have the right to use or distribute.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or circumvent any technical limitations of the service.
• Use the service to generate or distribute harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
• Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

3. Subscription Terms

Clipr AI offers subscription plans with varying features and usage limits. By subscribing:

• You authorize recurring monthly charges at the rate specified for your chosen plan.
• Subscriptions purchased on the web are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are billed through Apple's App Store and managed through your Apple ID account settings.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Web subscribers can cancel through the billing portal in their Subscription settings. iOS subscribers must cancel through their Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price changes take effect on their account.
• Your plan includes a monthly allowance of credits, which are the unit you spend on the service (see section 4).

4. Credits

Credits are how you pay for work on Clipr AI. Each action costs a fixed number of credits, shown to you before you confirm it:

• Scanning a stream for moments — 50 credits
• Quick Find — 16 credits to find, 3 to cut the moment you choose
• Re-editing a clip — 5 credits, plus 6 for each message in the edit conversation
• Each message in a Quick Find conversation — 2 credits
• Bringing back a clip's original moment — 5 credits

Your plan grants credits each month. You can also buy credit packs at any time. Credits from either source are spent from the same balance.

Credits expire 12 months after they are granted or purchased. Expiry is counted per credit, from the date it was added to your balance — not on a calendar cycle, and not all at once. We will tell you before any credits of yours expire.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money except under the refund policy in section 5.

If an action fails through no fault of yours, the credits it cost are returned to your balance automatically.

5. Refund Policy

7-day money-back guarantee. If Clipr AI isn't for you, email support@cliprai.app within 7 days of a charge and we will refund the unused portion of it — no reason required. Credits you have already spent are deducted, because the work they paid for has already been done. If you have spent none, you get the whole charge back.

This applies to subscription payments and to credit packs alike.

If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access through the end of the current billing period and will not be charged again.

Beyond the 7-day window we may still issue partial or full refunds at our discretion — for example in cases of clear billing error, duplicate charges, or extended service outages.

iOS subscribers should request refunds through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, as Apple controls App Store billing.

6. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all clips and content you create using Clipr AI. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to the source material you process through our service (e.g., stream VODs). We are not responsible for any copyright claims arising from your use of third-party content.

By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (e.g., AI analysis, transcription, rendering).

7. Third-Party Platforms

Clipr AI integrates with third-party platforms including Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. Your use of these platform integrations is also subject to the respective platform's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or policies of third-party platforms.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of our services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled or emergency maintenance.
• Third-party service outages (AI providers, streaming platforms, cloud infrastructure).
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions or downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Clipr AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy or quality of AI-generated analyses, clips, or other outputs.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time yourself: on the web, in Settings under Account → Danger Zone, and in the iOS app from the Profile tab. Deleting your account also cancels any active subscription. Upon deletion, all your data (account information, clips, connected platforms) will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

11. DMCA / Copyright Complaints

Clipr AI processes content provided by users from third-party streaming platforms (Twitch, Kick, YouTube). If you believe content processed through our service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA takedown notice to dmca@cliprai.app with the following:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material to be removed and information sufficient to locate it (URL or clip ID).
• Your contact information (full name, address, phone, email).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We respond to valid takedown notices within a reasonable time and may suspend repeat-infringer accounts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
