Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Clipr AI application and website operated by Clipr AI ("we", "us", "our"). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Account Registration

You create an account with an email address and a password, or with Sign in with Apple in our iOS app. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Clipr AI only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the service to process content, whether a stream or a video you upload, that you do not have the right to use or distribute.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or circumvent any technical limitations of the service.
• Use the service to generate or distribute harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
• Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to get around credits or limits.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

3. Subscription Terms

Clipr AI offers monthly subscription plans. By subscribing:

• You authorize recurring monthly charges at the rate specified for your chosen plan.
• Subscriptions purchased on the web are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are billed through Apple's App Store and managed through your Apple ID account settings.
• You can cancel at any time. On the web, cancel from Account → Subscription → Manage billing; iOS subscribers cancel in their Apple ID subscription settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Changing plans: moving to a bigger plan charges the new plan's full price right away and starts its monthly billing that day: you get all of its credits at once and keep the credits you already have, and it renews monthly from that day. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect immediately, isn't refunded, and the lower price starts with your next bill. Credits you already have are kept either way. You confirm the change before anything is charged.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price changes take effect on their account.
• Your plan includes a monthly allowance of credits, which are the unit you spend on the service (see section 4).

4. Credits

Credits are how you pay for work on Clipr AI. Every action shows its price before you start it. Scans and Quick Find searches ask you to confirm the amount; messages in the AI edit chat and in Quick Find show their price under the message box.

• Scanning a stream or video for clips: 50 credits
• Quick Find search: 8 credits for each started hour of stream it reads (at least 8). If the stream's length can't be read, a search costs 16 credits. Cutting the moment you choose is free.
• Quick Find corrections: 2 credits for a correction that moves the clip; questions are free
• AI edit messages: 6 credits for a message that changes the clip; questions and suggestions are free. Cutting, Auto edit and exporting are free.
• Re-cutting an AI-edited clip's original moment from the stream: 5 credits. Reverting a clip to its first version is free.

Your plan grants credits each month, and you can also buy credit packs at any time. Credits from either source are spent from the same balance, and unused credits carry over from month to month.

Credits don't currently expire. If that changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and it will only apply to credits added after the change.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money except under the refund policy in section 5. Unused credits are not refunded when you delete your account.

If a scan or search fails, or finds no clips, its credits come back automatically. The exceptions: a Quick Find that reads a whole stream and doesn't find the moment is refunded for your first 3 each month; a search of part of a stream that doesn't find it is a completed search; cancelling returns the credits only before Clipr starts analysing; and a chat message that has been answered isn't refunded.

You need at least 6 credits to send a message in the AI edit chat and at least 2 in Quick Find, even if the reply turns out to be free.

Fair-use limits: up to 25 scans in any 24 hours, 30 AI edits a day, and one scan or search running at a time. Quick Find reads at most 8 hours per search and allows 10 corrections per search. On streams over 2 hours, choose which part of the stream to search.

5. Refund Policy

7-day money-back guarantee. If Clipr AI isn't for you, email support@cliprai.app within 7 days of a charge and we will refund the unused portion of it — no reason required. Credits you have already spent are deducted, because the work they paid for has already been done. If you have spent none, you get the whole charge back.

This applies to subscription payments and to credit packs alike.

If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep access through the end of the current billing period and will not be charged again.

Beyond the 7-day window we may still issue partial or full refunds at our discretion — for example in cases of clear billing error, duplicate charges, or extended service outages.

iOS subscribers should request refunds through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, as Apple controls App Store billing.

6. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all clips and content you create using Clipr AI. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to the source material you process through our service, whether a stream from Twitch, Kick or YouTube or a video you upload. We are not responsible for any copyright claims arising from your use of third-party content.

By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service (for example transcription, AI analysis, face tracking and rendering), including through the service providers named in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Platforms

Clipr AI works with videos from Twitch, YouTube and Kick, and with videos you upload yourself. Your use of these platforms is also subject to their own terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or policies of third-party platforms.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of our services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled or emergency maintenance.
• Third-party service outages (AI providers, streaming platforms, cloud infrastructure).
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions or downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Clipr AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy or quality of AI-generated analyses, clips, or other outputs.

10. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time: on the web from Account → Account → Danger Zone (you'll be asked for your password), or in the iOS app from the Profile tab. Deleting cancels a subscription bought on our website; cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple ID settings. Your account is closed at once and kept for 30 days — sign in during that time to restore it — then your account, clips, uploads and Library are deleted and removed from our backups within about three months after that; see our Privacy Policy for what we keep. Unused credits are not refunded.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. If we close your account, we email you the reason; it is kept for 30 days, during which only we can restore it, and then deleted as above.

11. DMCA / Copyright Complaints

Clipr AI processes content provided by users from third-party streaming platforms (Twitch, Kick, YouTube). If you believe content processed through our service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA takedown notice to dmca@cliprai.app with the following:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material to be removed and information sufficient to locate it (URL or clip ID).
• Your contact information (full name, address, phone, email).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We respond to valid takedown notices within a reasonable time and may suspend repeat-infringer accounts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
